A Lizella man died early Saturday when his pickup truck ran off the road in Monroe County.
That's according to a news release from the Monroe County's Sheriff's Department.
They say it happened sometime before 5:45 a.m. near 498 Russellville Road.
Officers found a black GMC Sonoma pickup that had struck a tree.
According to the news release, 25-year-old Jeffrey Brannen Croft Jr. was pronounced dead on the scene.
The accident's cause was unknown, but deputies say Croft was wearing his seat belt.
The case remains under investigation.
