TOWSON, Md. (AP) -- The wine still has a decent nose -- even with stink bugs.
The smelly insects are descending on Mid-Atlantic crops.
University of Maryland researcher Joe Fiola is telling winemakers they don't have to worry.
He presented his stink bug findings at an annual meeting of eastern winemakers. He says stink bugs in grape juice don't effect the taste or smell of wine made from that juice.
Fiola adds that he's planning more tests on wine and the chemical compound that stink bugs release.
