STERLING, Neb. (AP) -- Things are popping for the Ehman family.
They're popcorn farmers in Sterling, Nebraska. Ed Ehman says they're been growing popcorn for more than 15 years.
Standards for popcorn are stricter than other types of corn, so it's more difficult to produce. But it can bring a good return.
Ehman tells a local paper (Beatrice Daily Sun) growing popcorn has another advantage. He says they always have a snack to pop for family movie nights.
