CADDO PARISH, LA - Things may soon be a little less casual in Caddo Parish, Louisiana, due to a local lawmaker's concern over the erosion of the community's "moral fiber."

Caddo Parish Commissioner Michael Williams has set his sights on outlawing the wearing of pajamas outside the home.

"The moral fiber in our community is dwindling," Williams says. "If not now, when? Because its pajama pants today, next it will be underwear tomorrow."

Williams says a recent shopping experience inspired him to propose a ban.

"I observed a couple of young men in loose fitting PJs on, probably with their private parts about to come out and no underwear," he says.

He wants to ban wearing pajamas pants in public.

Williams says he's working with the parish attorney on the ordinance wording and he'll soon present it to the commission.
