WASHINGTON (AP) -- One more flight is planned for the space shuttle Discovery. But it's not going into orbit. Discovery will be going to the Washington area. The Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum is adding the retired space vehicle to its collection.
Discovery will be flown to Washington Dulles International Airport on the back of a Boeing 747 in April. Museum officials say a flyover above the nation's capital is planned for April 17th.
Discovery's final home will be the museum's massive hanger and annex in northern Virginia.
