After his loss in the Nevada caucuses, Newt Gingrich vowed to continue his campaign until the Republican National Convention in Tampa in August.

In a subdued news conference in Las Vegas, Gingrich said Republican voters "are going to want an alternative to a Massachusetts moderate."

"We will continue the campaign all the way to Tampa," he said. "I suspect this debate will continue for a long time. ... I'm not going to withdraw.'"

Gingrich renewed his criticism of Romney as "fundamentally dishonest" for the former governor's negative attack ads unleashed on Gingrich in Florida.

"If you can't tell the truth as a candidate for president ... how can the country possibly expect you to lead as president?" Gingrich said of Romney.
