Merida, Mexico (Sports Network) - Tommy Cocha posted a 4-under 68 on Saturday
to cruise to a historic victory at the Mundo Mayo Open on the PGA Tour
Latinoamerica.
This was the debut event for this circuit, which is affiliated with the PGA
Tour.
Cocha, a 21-year-old Argentinean, finished at 22-under 266 and won by five
strokes at Yucatan Country Club.
Oscar Fraustro fired a 7-under 65 and came in second at minus-17.
Ariel Canete's 5-under 67 on Saturday was enough for third place at 16-under
par.
Amateur Sebastian Vazquez (69), Rafael Campos (67) and Andres Echavarria (71)
tied for fourth place at 15-under 273.
