Macon fire investigators are still seeking the cause of an early morning fire that burned a home.
The house, located on the 2800 block of Kent Drive, which is the neighborhood adjacent to Southwest High School, also held ammunition and belonged to a Macon police officer.
Neighbors grew concerned after they heard gunshots coming from inside the house. Curtis Wilson, a neighbor, says no one was home when the fire started and that no one was hurt, but he said things could have been different if the fire department had entered the house while the ammunition was firing.
