Big rival matchup on the gridiron, Friday night. A grudge match that has lasted decades between the Northeast Raiders and the Southwest Patriots.
Coach C Wright and his Pats enter the contest 1-1 ready to gain bragging rights over the Eastside ball club while Coach Bruce Mullen and the Raiders are ready to build on their unbeaten record of 2-0.
But in the stands, the battle of the bands is a whole 'nother issue.
The Southwest Patriot marching band was busy applying the finishing touches on their halftime performance, Thursday afternoon. The Patriot band has a storied history between the lines and come Friday night they will be looking to take home the crown of the best band of the night.
Just across town the Northeast Marching Band are playing a different tune. The classic show band wants to sweep Friday night with a win on the grass and in the stands. And although it is all love and respect between the two schools, NE wants to win big time.

Southwest plans to unveil their new uniforms during Friday night's contest and not to be outdone Northeast promises an element of surprise as well.
In 2011, Northeast won the game 13-7. Game time for Fridays contest is 730 at Henderson stadium.
