Robin Roberts spoke to fans from her New York hospital room in a video that aired this morning, just hours before she starts her bone marrow transplant today to treat her rare blood disorder.
Sporting sweats, moccasins and a bright pink baseball cap, but clearly weary after eight days of intensive chemotherapy, the beloved Good Morning America anchor, 51, said, "This journey is as much about the mind as it is the body."
Tapping her head, she continued, "Your thoughts ... are so powerful. You've got to change the way you think in order to change the way you feel." And she repeated the line.
She then added, "And let me just say this lastly, I feel the love and I thank you for it. Thank you."
