Macon police arrested 30, issued 210 citations and confiscated 54 bags of marijuana with city-wide traffic stops and road checks last weekend.
According to a news release, the two-day operation, dubbed 'Rolling Thunder,' was a targeted effort to check for child restraint and safety belt violations.
In addition to 34 seat belt and 63 child restraint citations, police apprehended 13 fugitives and made 11 drug arrests, including one at the McDonald's on Rocky Creek Road involving 25 bags of marijuana.
'Rolling Thunder' was a coordinated effort between nine agencies including Twiggs County K-9 and the DeKalb County HEAT Unit.
In May, police conducted a similar operation for three days.
Last Tuesday and Wednesday, the agencies also provided 125 car seats with instruction at Ingram-Pye Elementary and the Wal-Mart on Zebulon Road.
