JONESBORO, Ga. (AP) - An accrediting agency is warning Clayton County Schools that the system's accreditation could once again be in jeopardy.

The Clayton News Daily reports that board members received a warning letter Tuesday from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

The accrediting agency revoked the district's accreditation in 2009. In its letter Tuesday, SACS President Mark Elgart cited concerns about conflicts between board members.

The school system has until Jan. 15 to respond to the concerns before the accrediting agency decides whether to investigate the board's actions.

The school district is just south of Atlanta.
