Campus Police conducted unannounced, randomized searches of two high schools, arresting one student for drug possession.
A 14-year-old student was arrested after being caught on school grounds Tuesday afternoon with a steak knife, according to a news release.
School officials confronted the Hutchings Career Center student who then admitted having the weapon.
Spokeswoman Josephine Bennett could not say how officials knew the student had a steak knife.
The Bibb County Sheriff's Office made arrangements with juvenile authorities for processing.
