A federal inspector will visit the Macon Gardens apartments next week to follow up on tenants' complaints. Last month, 13WMAZ reported on health and safety problems at the west Macon apartment complex. Public money from the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development pays most of the rent for Macon Garden Apartments. HUD last inspected Macon Garden Apartments in May 2011. The complex was given a failing score of 35 out of 100.
