McCAYSVILLE, Ga. (AP) - A small earthquake has rattled North Georgia near the Tennessee border.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the 2.5-magnitude tremor happened just after midnight Saturday. The epicenter was calculated to be McCaysville.

Residents of nearby Blue Ridge told WSB-TV that the earthquake sounded like a bomb.

Officials reported receiving calls about the earthquake, but no damage was reported.
