WINDER, Ga. (AP) - A judge has denied bond for one of the twin brothers charged in the death of a former newspaper reporter from Florida.

Barrow County Superior Court Judge Penn McWhorter said Thursday 31-year-old William Cormier did not appear to have significant ties to the community and seemed to be a flight risk. Cormier's twin brother Christopher was not at the bond hearing because he is awaiting appointment of a lawyer.

Authorities last week charged the brothers with murder in the death of 30-year-old Sean Dugas. The brothers are also charged with concealing a death.

Winder police discovered Dugas' body after hearing from police in Pensacola, who were investigating Dugas' disappearance.

An autopsy determined that Dugas died from blows to the head about a month before his body was found Oct. 8.
