This time of year is always a lot of fun, especially when we take a break to watch some scary movies. Everyone has their own opinion about what makes a flick good around Halloween so we figured we'd give you the chance to sound off on it.

Since Round 1, the field has narrowed from 32 even further until only the Elite 8 are still standing: The Exorcist, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, The Ring, Psycho, Friday the 13th, The Shining and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

CLICK HERE TO VOTE IN ROUND THREE

IN THE HALLOWEEN MOVIE SHOWDOWN BRACKET

Cast your vote for your favorites in each round until a winner is crowned on Halloween! Just like in basketball, there are four regions with ranked seeds in each.

Here are your match-ups:

Region 1: Devils & Demons

#1 The Exorcist vs. #2 Nightmare on Elm St. - The Omen and Carrie were no match for The Exorcist and A Nightmare on Elm Street, who now face each other in a showdown between a demon that possesses your body and a demon that enters your dreams. Pick your poison; you'll get your scares with either one.

Region 2: The Supernaturals

#1 Halloween vs. #2 The Ring - The number four seed, Evil Dead, put up the toughest fight in the bracket this round but Ash ultimately fell by six votes to The Ring in a squeaker. So now Samara takes on the ruthless, seemingly unstoppable Michael Myers for Supernatural supremacy.

Region 3: Slashers & Spirits

#1 Psycho vs. #2 Friday the 13th - Hard to believe but Psycho was on the losing end of that long pointy knife--but only for half a day. Then Norman Bates, Mother and Hitchcock rallied for the win. Now this black and white classic takes on Jason Voorhees who beat Count Dracula black and blue. The man behind the mask now threatens to go psycho on Psycho.

Region 4: Creature Features

#1 The Shining vs. #2 Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The most lopsided beatdown so far was the 46-vote whooping The Shining laid down on Frankenstein. Now crazy Jack Nicholson takes on Leatherface and his nutty family. Again, imagine the mash-up of this one: an enormous, empty and haunted hotel as the setting for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
