ATLANTA (WXIA 11Alive) -- Several students at an Atlanta middle school came down with a mysterious itching Monday afternoon.
The students attend Brown Middle School in southwest Atlanta. Most of them were in the same class, school officials said.
There was no immediate word on what caused the rash. So far, 27 students have been taken to Hughes Spalding Hospital as a precaution, according to Atlanta Public Schools spokesman Steve Alford.
The parents of all the students have been notified, and they've been asked to come to the hospital for their children.
Officials said there were no hives or rashes reported, but a lot of mild itching among the students.
