ATLANTA (AP) - A Grady High School student who was injured when a gun discharged outside the Atlanta school could face more charges because police say the gun was reported stolen.

Atlanta police say the 17-year-old student shot accidentally shot herself in the thigh and then walked into a school clinic, bleeding.

She was taken to a hospital for treatment and arrested the same day on felony possession of a pistol by a minor and three misdemeanors: carrying a weapon within a school safety zone, reckless conduct and disruption of a public school.

The shooting raised concerns about security at the school, and WSB-TV reports that students had to wait in long lines Tuesday to get through a metal detector near the front entrance.
