SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Police in Savannah say crews searching for a man near a tug boat station in the Savannah River have recovered his body.
Savannah-Chatham police spokesman Julian Miller tells The Associated Press that the man was doing some type of work near the Hutchinson Island tug boat station when he ended up in the water.
WTOC-TV reports that the man ended up in the water shortly before 10 a.m. WSAV-TV reports that rescue crews then assembled on River Street in Savannah to board a rescue boat heading to the scene, where they found the man's body.
Miller said it wasn't known whether the man was working for the tug boat company, or some other firm doing work in the area.
Few other details were immediately available late Wednesday morning.
