A group of Macon community members will march through the city on Friday to speak out about their frustrations with the police department.

An organizer says one of their focuses will be on the shooting of Sammie Davis Jr. by Macon police officer Clayton Sutton.

He allegedly shot and killed Davis outside a Macon grocery store in December and is on administrative leave until the investigation is complete. That's standard procedure when an officer is involved in a shooting.

One of the march organizers says the rally will start at Tatnall Square park Friday afternoon and end in front of Macon city hall.

As for the Sutton investigation, DA David Cooke is reviewing the GBI case file and will decide if any crime occurred.

On Monday, he told 13WMAZ he did not know when he would complete his review.
