The Southeastern Regional continued Sunday with a make up game between Georgia and North Carolina. The girls in baby-blue eliminated Georgia with a 10-0 victory.
Carolina stunned Georgia with 7 runs in the fifth and kept them from tagging home all afternoon.
Georgia had one last chance at keeping the game going in the bottom of the fifth. Catcher Hannah Griffin sent one out to the shortstop and made it safely to first. The shortstop over threw second base trying to tag the lead runner and allowed Kassidy Huelett to slide safely to third. Georgia could not get the girls home before North Carolina secured the final out.
North Carolina moves on to the semifinals on Monday.
