It's hard to watch this year's Olympic games play out without having fond memories of Georgia's time in the spotlight in 1996.
Yvette Oxford's tuned in and the footage has sparked her to dig up some old souvenirs.
"I have all the Atlanta 96 pins, she said. This is a Dream Team Kids' Sports Illustrated and all the players signed it."
Oxford, a licensed massage therapist, worked on dozens of athletes during the games when they played out in the Peach state. Oxford said she keeps all the badges, autographs and other memorabilia in a shoebox.
But she says this year's Olympics in London really highlighted for her how far her proffession has come in sixteen years.
"Back then I was the only massage therapist for the Olympics, and now they have teams of therapists. Back then we weren't as respected as we are now," she said.
Oxford says she has also worked on athletes during a couple of superbowl events.
