Preseason football camp is over for some Central Georgia schools as they gear up for game time this Friday night, and that's exactly the game plan for Coach Robert Slocum and his Mount de Sales Cavaliers as they begin the GISA season on the road.
Slocum says the Cavs survived a productive camp led by several key starters on the offense including the entire offensive line unit. Coach thinks the experience the Cavs have running the ball will help control the teams tempo while the defense gels, having to replace 8 starters from last years 7-4 team.
However Senior Jeremiah Cotton is expected to help close the gaps, the 6'3 240 pound defensive tackle is one of the areas top prospects.
The Cavs started out their 2012 season on fire with 7 straight wins but lost 4 in a row to end the season. Friday night they travel to Bethesda Day in Savannah for kickoff at 7:30.
