DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (School Release)- Mercer junior Lacey Fears fired a 75 in Saturday's second round of the LPGA Invitational to move into a tie for the individual overall lead at the Legends Course of LPGA International.  As a team, Mercer's round two total of 316 placed the Bears third in the team standings.

After 36 holes of play, Mercer's tournament score of 628 trails only Old Dominion (620) and Florida Gulf Coast (618).  Entering Sunday's final round, the Bears are three strokes clear of Stetson for fourth place.

Fears' 75 came on the heels on an opening round 73 and slots her in a tie with FGCU sophomore Georgia Price.  When play begins on Sunday morning, both Price and Fears will hold a two-stroke edge on the next closest competitor, Old Dominion's Samantha Morrell.

Senior Aurelie Wiriath shaved eight strokes off her day one total, carding a 75 on Saturday to move into a tie for 18th place individually.  Junior Mary Alice Murphy, sophomore Sarah Louie Brown and senior Kaitlin Marrin all shot 83 in Saturday's proceedings.  Murphy's 36-hole score of 160 positions her 27th, while Brown is tied for 36th (163) and Marrin is tied for 45th (165).

Sunday's final round begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
