COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Georgia College soccer team (10-8-1) lost a 3-0 battle at Columbus State University (16-2-1) Tuesday night, in the quarterfinal round of the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Tournament.

Both teams played tough in the first half, as it took to the final minute for CSU to break through a stingy GC defense. Kansas Bayly netted her seventh goal this season with just eight seconds left on the clock, as the Bobcats entered the half down 1-0.

CSU made good on another strike in the 58th minute, as Casey Davis made it 2-0 with her second goal this season. The third and final score came with 23:16 remaining in the game, as Chelsea Person's fourth goal of the year pushed it out of reach.

Sophomore goalkeeper Annie Stephens (Fayetteville, Ga.) made four saves to take the loss, dropping to 6-6-1. Mary Mancin improved to 16-2-1 with her single-save effort.

The Bobcats were out-shot 20-6, as sophomore Abby Dalton (Macon, Ga.) led the team in attempts with a pair.

The loss may end the season for the Bobcats, removing the chances for GC to obtain the PBC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Bobcats were No. 10 in the most recent NCAA Southeast Region Poll a week ago, going 2-1 since the ranking was released.
