MACON, Ga.-- For the first time since 2002, Northeast High School is 8 and 1.  The Raiders won their last four contests, most recently a 53 to 12 decision over Putnam County.

Friday, the Raiders will meet with Region 4-AA foe Bleckley County.  Both squads are 5 and 1 in region play and both lost to leader Lamar County.  The winner Friday night will claim the second place spot in the standings and will get to host a play-off game.

"I told them all last week," said head coach Bruce Mullen.  "If we win Friday and then we win this week, our seniors will have the record for the most wins in school history."

"I know they are a pretty good ball club," said senior wide receiver Drake White. "We have to prepare and take everyday just a day at a time."

Game time on Friday is set for 7:30.
