It's time to roll, bounce, and skate this weekend as Inline Speed Skating hits the streets of the International City.

The 18-member Warner Robins based Mach Racing Inline Speed team is hosting a weekend on the wheels.

Skaters from all over Georgia, Tennessee and Florida will compete in the local league meet which is composed of an outdoor road race on Saturday then a full day of indoor divisional races on Sunday. All this competition is in preparation for Regionals in May and then possibly Nationals next year in New Mexico.

Skaters range from 3 to 43 years of age, both male and female.

Saturday, action takes place on Veteran Memorial Parkway from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. While Sunday races are indoor and start at 6 a.m. through 2 p.m. at Olympia Skate Center on Greenbriar Road, off North Houston Road in Warner Robins.

The events are free to the public.
