Five seniors inked deals to play ball in college Wednesday.
In front of a packed gym during a morning assembly, the athletes thanked their parents and coaches for their support.
Allie and Katie Hale will play soccer at Reinhardt University. Allie had 311 career points and was named to the 2010 All-Middle Georgia Player of the Year. Katie had 100 career points and made the All-Region team twice.
Jim Henderson is a golfer and will swing the clubs for Valdosta State University. He has earned All-Region, All-State and All Middle Georgia honors throughout his career. His coach called him committed and said Jim once played a match with a 102 fever.
Tyler Payne plans on playing baseball at Georgia Southern University. During his junior season Tyler went 5-4 with a 1.91 ERA. He also threw five complete games while striking out 62 of his opponents in 51 innings. He has also earned All-State and All-Region honors.
Lexi Rouse will leave Stratford owning many school softball records including best pitching record, most runs in a season, and most strikeouts in a season. She plans to play at University of Louisiana Lafayette.
