Georgia legendary football coach Vince Dooley made a stop in town this afternoon for a signing on his latest book, History and Reminiscences of the University of Georgia.
Dawgs fans packed the aisles to spend some time with the 80 year old former coach.
They also purchased books, waited for autographs and shared their favorite Georgia memories.
We talked to Dooley about several issues including this years team, the state of the BCS and also about todays coaching climate in the SEC, a topic that hits close to home after his son Derek was fired from Tennessee just weeks ago.
Dooley says, "Patience has always been thin, but now its thinner than ever before. They pay big money for coaches now and they expect immediate results. Theres no margin of error. Bur it's a different era. The expectations are high and they want you to produce immeadiately. There's no margin of error and that has cost alot of coaches their jobs including our son Derek."
Dooley is on a tour throughout the state. He has authored 4 books.
