AJC.com, the website for the Atlanta Journal Constitution is reporting that Georgia coach Mark Richt watched the Super Bowl from a bed at St. Mary's Hospital in Greensboro, Ga.

The article indicated that the 53-year old underwent hip-replacement surgery at the hospital on Saturday. Richt shared this past season that he struggled with hip pain for nearly 30 years ago.

"He'll have to tell you why and he's still in the hospital," said Claude Felton, UGA's director of sports communication.

Felton said the Bulldogs' plans for national signing day, March 6, which include a news conference with Richt have not changed.
