The Houston County boys soccer team is kicking the season off to one of the better starts in the programs history.
Led by second year head coach Jason Kirk the Bears are off to an 9-0 start behind eight seniors, five of who have already signed scholarships to play at the next level.
Last season the black and silver finished 16-2 after losing in the second round of the state playoffs on penalty kicks to Northwest Whitfield.
This spring however, even in a new region and classification, the Bears are aiming for higher heights in post season.
Kirk explains, "From the very get go in our meeting back in August when we talked about what we were going to do this season, our goal is to make sure we win our last game of the season. And if we do that then our goal will be reached. We wanna remain focused at all training sessions and strive toward that goal."
