COCHRAN (School Release)- After seven and a half innings of a pitchers duel, the Knights outlasted the Bobcats in the final one and a half scoring one 8th and one in the 9th to win the game.

Adam Eggnatz threw 6.0 innings striking out seven while walking one and hitting a batter and giving up two hits.  He was followed by Eric Alonzo and Justin Flores each pitching one inning and holding the Bobcats to no runs.  Blake Shouse scored in the bottom of the 8th on an RBI walk by Jake Wright before getting a blown save in the top of the 9th by giving up two hits and one run.  That took the game to the bottom of the 9th tied at one.  Kent Rollins walked then moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Wil Jones and to third on a pass ball.  The Bobcats walked the next two batters before a pass ball allowed Rollins to score the winning run.

The Knights improve to 18-8 on the season and 9-4 in conference play.

The Knights travel to Swainsboro to take on East Georgia State College on Thursday at 7PM and for a doubleheader on Saturday.
