Two Lancers will move on in their respective sports to become Bears.

Friday the student body gathered at Central Fellowship Christian Academy to cheer on a couple of seniors both opted to go to Brewton Parker College next year.

Shaw Doolittle threw a no-hitter just last Tuesday night.

He's hitting 295 this season and was the team's MVP in 2012.

The second baseman has put 21 runs on the board this year and has only struck out twice.

Caleb DeLoach inked a cross country deal.

He took second place at the 1-AA State Championships last year.

He's also been all-region for the last three years.
Both guys say Brewton Parker seemed like a good fit in their respective sports.

Shaw says he doesn't want to go in with lofty expectations after going through the recruiting process.

"He said I looked like a really good player, and I'll be playing second base, and Brewton Parker's mainly known for their baseball program and they're really good at baseball, so I don't want to go in and be a superstar," Shaw said.

Caleb said he was thankful for the opportunity to compete at the next level.

"That's when Coach Nigh came up to me and said, 'We'd love to have you on our team,'" Caleb recalled. "He told me to check out the school and then offered me a scholarship to pay my way to Brewton Parker, which I'm very lucky to have," he said.

Shaw wants to eventually become a youth pastor and Caleb wants to get his degree in education.
