Back-to-back shut-outs propelled the Stratford boys soccer team to the state semifinals.  The Eagles hit the practice field Tuesday for some last minute tune-ups before their next game.

Stratford will host Westminster on Wednesday at 7 p.m.  The Eagles defeated Westminster in the Stratford Cup, 8-0.

"Historically, their teams are very organized, disciplined," explained head coach James Jordan.  "They're physical. They're dangerous off set pieces, free kicks and corners and they have a couple of big guys who are athletic that can make big plays."

With two 13-0 victories in a row, Jordan says he wants to make sure his team isn't over-confident.

"We've been facing some good opposition.  We're very fortunate that we've got multiple offensive threats and there's always a danger of being over-confident going into a big game."

Winner of Wednesday's match faces the winner of the Mount de Sales/ August Prep game.
