This weekend one Howard senior racked up the hardware at the GHSA State Track and Field Championships.
Anasterasia Terrell took first place in the long jump, triple jump and 100 meter hurdles. It was the first state championship win for the senior.
"Whenever I did the long jump, that was the one I was nervous about because I hadn't won at all this year," explained Terrell. "I always got second place. The girl that beat me, she was all upbeat and 'yeah I'm going to win'. So, I was just trying to stay focused and not let it get me off focus. After the long jump, after I won, I was very happy."
Terrell will compete for Clemson next season.
