WARNER ROBINS, GA - The Warner Robins West Little League is back on the practice field getting ready for the state tournament in Savannah.

WRALL dominated the District 5 Championship, and closed it out with a 17-3 thumping of Vine Ingle. Now, they're back at practice, preparing for the state tournament.

"After the [championship] game we all got excited and pumped up for state," said WRALL's Zack Lassiter.

WRALL outscored their opponents 65-6 acorss their four tournament games. They won all of them.

And now they are trying to carry that momentum into productive training sessions.

"We're having a lot of fun right now. Practice has been fun, even though we're going about four hours a day," said Jeremy Horton, who plays in the outfield primarily.

The coaches and players know there's always for improvement, though.

"The first couple of games we really didn't gel... We didn't hit until late in the games," said assistant coach Randy Jones.

They had plenty of help on the mound, too. Corbet Luna and Blake King both turned in one-hitters.

"They're starting to learn how to pitch a little bit, and [to] hit spots and change speeds," said Jones.

State tournament starts on July 20, and the winner will advance to the South East Regionals in Warner Robins.
