MACON - After 31 years, Football Friday Nights will look a little bit different at Tattnall this season.
Former head Coach Barney Hester is at Howard High School. And Clint Morgan, who won a single-A championship in Fredrica last year, is calling the shots.
Morgan says coming in he likes the secondary and his offensive backfield.
After winning a title in 2011, Tattnall struggled a bit last year with a squad of young players.
Morgan says they are still young. He will start three sophomores in the backfield, but he says that's okay because the younger guys have experience and he hasn't changed much coming into the program.
"My offense and defense are very similar, so there is not a lot of change, and I think the fact that they played a lot of younger players will benefit us this year, and they're not learning a totally new system, but overall, it's about blocking and tackling," Morgan surmised.
Tattnall begins their 2013 season this Friday night as they host Southland at home at 7:30.
