MACON- Berm seating, standing room only, single game and season tickets are all gone for Mercer's first game against Reinhardt, but there was still one group left without tickets:  the students.

Monday, around 1,200 students lined up outside Anderson Field to get their football ticket.  The students received a voucher for a seat when they got in the gate and then were called by color to the ticket office.

The first person in line arrived at 3:45 p.m. and worked on homework until the gates opened at seven.

There was free pizza and drinks.  The football team held a quick practice for the fans. The band and cheerleaders also made an appearance.

Head coach Bobby Lamb had a chance to speak to the future student section.

"We really need you to be loud at all times," Lamb told the crowd.  "But we need you to be the loudest when they have the ball and it's third down."

Kickoff against Reinhardt is Saturday at 6 p.m.
