PERRY - We head to Perry to scout, Westfield. Coach Ronnie Jones enters his 21st season as a head coach for the Hornets. Jones boasts the 59 players on the roster is the largest number, the program has ever seen. Twelve seniors and a balanced attack of 5 returners on each side of the ball, hope to bring a championship to the green and gold.
"I think the season is going to determine I think we have more depth as far is if someone gets hurt or something like this", says Jones. "I think we will be able to play a lot more people early on in the season. Until we can find out who's going to step up and who's not. One thing I am really concerned about is we've had the same punter in Wayne O'Neal and same kicker for the last four years. We've been kind of spoiled and they've been the best in the state so we're concerned about our kicking game so we'll have to see how that goes."
Westfield takes on Tattnall, Friday night at 7:30pm.
