MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - It took over 85 minutes of dominating soccer from Georgia College (3-2), but senior Haley O'Hayer (Savannah, Ga.) broke through for the game-winner in Wednesday's 1-0 win over Anderson University (2-2-1) at Bobcat Field.

GC out-shot the Trojans 10-0 in the first half, and again 20-3 in the second.

With less than five minutes left, sophomore Abby Dalton (Macon, Ga.) tracked a ball down on the left side and crossed it to O'Hayer, who knocked it into the left side of the net for her first goal of the season.

Trojan goalkeeper Kaitlyn Neipp was well-tested, making 13 saves in 14 tries in the loss. Sophomore goalkeeping duo Taylor Cornelius (Dacula, Ga.) and Annie Stephens (Fayetteville, Ga.) split time in the shutout.

For the second-straight game, GC's experienced defensive line led by seniors Dixie Robinson (Conyers, Ga.), Jamie Colcord (Marietta, Ga.) and Olivia Holden (Fishers, Ind.) allowed less than 10 shots, this time adding none on target.

The Bobcat victory gives GC a two-game win streak and halts Anderson's of the same length. AU had averaged 4.5 goals per contest in their two victories coming into tonight.

The Bobcats kick off conference play at USC Aiken Saturday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m.
