Vince Dooley visits Central Ga.

50 years ago Wednesday, former Head Football coach Vince Dooley signed a contract with the University of Georgia.

Now, Dooley is spending time on a book tour to promote two of his works, and he made a couple of stops in Central Georgia.

First, in Gray at Kema's Hobby Bookstore, he signed copies of the "History and Reminiscences of the University of Georgia," and his famous "Dooley's Playbook."

He says the playbook highlights 34 of the Bulldogs' most memorable plays.

He says he enjoys his time on tour meeting fans.

"It's great to see the Georgia people in a different light. When I was coaching, we used to come in and go out quick. Now I get a chance to visit with them. The book signings have been very rewarding to me," said Dooley.

Dooley says his "Playbook" is available at Kroger.

The University's History book is available at the campus bookstore.
