Flowery Branch, GA (Sports Network) - The Atlanta Falcons have agreed to a deal with free agent defensive end Ray Edwards, according to a story on the team's website.
Edwards appeared in 72 games with the Minnesota Vikings, who selected the Purdue product in the fourth round of the 2006 draft. The 26-year-old has started every game he has played during the past three campaigns.
For his career, Edwards has compiled 29 1/2 sacks, including eight last season, 182 tackles and six forced fumbles.
