ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) -- The Detroit Lions have started practice without running backs Jahvid Best and Ronnie Brown.
Best was out Wednesday with concussion-like symptoms.
The Philadelphia Eagles said this week that they dealt Brown to Detroit for Jerome Harrison and an undisclosed pick in the 2013 draft. The Lions have not confirmed the trade.
Detroit might need Brown to play Sunday at home against Atlanta.
Brown wasn't on the field Wednesday when reporters had access to practice, but Detroit coach Jim Schwartz talked about the acquisition earlier in a conference call with Atlanta-area reporters.
Schwartz says Brown can get up to speed quickly because he's a veteran who played in Miami for Lions offensive coordinator Scott Linehan.
