Former Houston County Superintendent Hines hired to lead GHSA

Hines hired as new GHSA executive director

THOMASTON, GA - The Georgia High School Association approved a Board of Trustees recommendation to hire Dr. Robin Hines as its new executive director during a called meeting of the board in Thomaston Tuesday.

Hines was a former Northside High School principal before moving on to the board office and becoming the Houston County superintendent (2010-2014).

He will have a three-year contract and will replace Gary Phillips, who will retire at the end of the school year.

Phillips had been in charge since 2014.
