Local girl makes Punt, Pass and Kick finals

Bella Winston has always loved football. She began playing recreation football three years ago and now she is getting some national attention.

Winston is one of very few kids who has earned a chance to compete in the national Punt, Pass and Kick competition. Her dad signed her up last fall when the Warner Robins recreation department handed out flyers. Bella blew through the local competition, she went to the Georgia Dome, and was eventually ranked second in the nation.

This weekend, her family will make the trip to Denver where she will go for the Championship title against four other kids representing different regions of the country.

When she began this journey, Bella said her arm was her biggest strength, but she's worked hard on her kicking game and feels that is the skill that may put her over the top.

Along the way Bella has won some neat prizes. She has a first place medal, a red jersey with an Atlanta Falcons emblem on the sleeve, and a colorful football.

Eventually Bella says she would like to play high school football and or college.
