One of the state's winningest coaches is calling it quits in Central Georgia.
Mary Persons head football coach Rodney Walker announced his retirement today after 39 seasons and 300 wins as a head football coach in the Peach State.
Walker won his only state title in 1984 with West Rome High School; however, he lost title games with both Stephens County and Peach County where he also served as head coach during his career.
This past season the Dogs finished 9-3 and advanced to the second round of state playoffs.
