ATLANTA (AP)-- State officials have approved Georgia bird hunting seasons.

The September Canada goose season will stretch the full month of September.  The initial teal season will run from Sept. 8 to Sept. 23.

There are two windows for duck hunting.  The first is Nov. 17 through Nov. 25.  The second, longer season begins Dec. 8 and ends Jan. 27, 2013.

A full schedule for all waterfowl, including daily limits, is available online at www.Gohuntgeorgia.com/nodel/2752.

The Georgia Board of Natural Resources determines the seasons within rules of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Waterfowl hunters in Georgia must have a state hunting license, federal duck stamp, Georgia waterfowl conservation license and an HIP permit.  Licenses are available online at www.georgiawildlife.com and at more than 800 locations around the state.
