This weekend, student athletes from across the Peach State will race for a state title during the Cross Country state championships.
Two teams vying for AA gold are the Bleckley County Royals boys and girls squad.
Last week, the Lady Royals won top spot in Region 4-AA for the 10th year in a row while the boys are trying to play catch up.
They won as well for only their 7th straight title.
Coach Shelly Cranford has trained runners for the past 24 years and he says this week with state on the line, he's expecting the best out of his teams for a championship finish.
The state meet is scheduled for Saturday morning at Carrolton High School.
