Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - The Toronto Blue Jays placed designated hitter
Adam Lind on the 15-day disabled list Monday with a mid-back strain and
recalled first baseman David Cooper from Triple-A Las Vegas.
Lind had been held out of Toronto's last three games with tightness in his
back, making the move retroactive to July 26.
The 29-year-old, who spent more than a month at Triple-A after a sluggish
start to the season, has hit .227 with eight home runs and 27 RBI over 58
games for the Blue Jays this year.
Cooper, 25, will be making his second stint with Toronto. He batted .292 with
two homers and six RBI over 24 previous games with the Jays.
